Description We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a growing manufacturing company in Lexington, North Carolina. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with private equity stakeholders while driving financial strategy and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of manufacturing environments, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to implement key performance indicators (KPIs) that support growth.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and private equity objectives.
• Lead and manage a team of five finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Serve as the primary liaison to private equity partners, providing insights and updates on financial performance and strategic initiatives.
• Oversee cost accounting, production analytics, and inventory management to ensure profitability and operational efficiency.
• Design and implement KPIs to monitor operational performance and support data-driven decision-making.
• Manage financial reporting systems, including Sage 50, ensuring compliance with regulatory and private equity standards.
• Drive the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support business scalability and growth.
• Provide leadership on strategic financial initiatives, partnering with other executives to achieve organizational objectives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or MBA are preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of financial leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a CFO or senior financial role.
• Demonstrated experience working with private equity-backed companies.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing and production environments, including cost accounting and operational metrics.
• Proven ability to develop and implement KPIs to drive performance and accountability.
• Proficiency with financial systems such as Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a track record of building and managing collaborative teams.
