Description We are looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team in Firestone, Colorado. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the financial stability and operational efficiency of our construction business. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial strategies, overseeing internal controls, and driving compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities: • Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports and five-year business plans to senior leadership. • Establish and maintain internal controls across sales, purchasing, construction, land development, accounts payable, and closing processes. • Oversee homebuilding operations and collaborate with department heads to improve policies and ensure efficiency. • Ensure all division personnel are adequately trained in utilizing the JD Edwards system. • Monitor and evaluate land deals for compliance with corporate, regional, and division requirements. • Analyze and manage development and S& B budgets, investigating and supporting changes when necessary. • Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting that reflects operational performance. • Implement and refine policies to align with technological advancements and enhance operational efficiency. • Conduct business ethically and professionally to build customer trust and company profitability. • Supervise and mentor a team of two or more employees, fostering their growth and development. Requirements • Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. • Seven to ten years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the construction or homebuilding industry. • Proficiency in accounting software systems, CRM tools, and financial analysis. • Ability to analyze complex business systems and apply practical solutions. • Strong communication skills and attention to detail. • Capability to work efficiently in a moderate noise environment and perform essential physical tasks. • Willingness to travel overnight as needed. • Prior experience in the homebuilding industry is preferred but not required.
