Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced CFD engineer to join our team focusing on the research and development of rotodynamic pumps. In this role you will utilize advanced CFD analysis to predict pump performance and study complex fluid phenomena. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance, solve complex fluid flow challenges, and drive innovation in pump design.
Support the development of new hydraulic for customer orders ($20K to $500K per project)Support the development of new hydraulic for new products ($0.5M to $20M annual sales) Essential Responsibilities Execute advanced CFD analysis of rotodynamic pumps for new product, technology or live order projectsExecute CFD correlation studies and maintain metricsDefine and maintain department standards for CFD analysisResearch new CFD analysis applications for rotodynamic pumps Position Requirements Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or related field, Ph. D preferredExperience: 7 years of professional and/or graduate experience in CFD analysis with a strong focus on turbomachinery, rotodynamic pumps and hydro turbines preferredStrong understanding of fluid mechanics and CFD principlesExperience in commercial CFD software packages, ANSYS CFX preferredProficiency generating high quality CFD meshesStrong understanding of CFD solversExperience correlating CFD analysis to experimental data#IP1
