Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CFD Engineer with expertise in turbomachinery and turbine flow analysis to support the design, optimization, and validation of turbine components. The candidate will apply advanced CFD tools and techniques to simulate and analyze aerodynamic and thermal performance in axial and/or radial turbines, helping improve efficiency, durability, and reliability.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure design functionality, safety and integrity and compliance with appropriate Codes and Standard Design PracticesPerform CFD simulations of turbine components including stators, rotors, nozzles, and casings.Analyze internal flow behavior, pressure losses, blade loading, secondary flows, and heat transfer.Generate high-quality structured or unstructured meshes using meshing tools (e.g., ANSYS Meshing, Space Claim, ICEM CFD).Set up steady and transient CFD simulations using tools such as ANSYS CFX, FluentPerform CFD analysis and Conduct design reviews with chief engineering office as required.Collaborate with cross disciplinary functions like CADD, and Engineering team for inputs and quires.Maintain first time quality metrics for the projectsShould be well versed in following toolsWork Experience
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related from an accredited college or universityMinimum 4 years to 6 years of progressively responsible post-bachelor’s degree engineering experience in CFDDesired Characteristics:
Experience with rotating machinery, including centrifugal or axial turbines and compressors.Familiarity with conjugate heat transfer (CHT), multiphase flow, or transient blade row methodsAbility to balance multiple priorities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying technical issues.Skills:
