Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
Currently seeking a full-time Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist in Ankeny, Iowa. To qualify, candidates must have or be eligible for an Iowa CTRS license. This role delivers recreation therapy within a transdisciplinary team serving individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions. Position Highlights: + Schedule: Monday-Friday (rotating weekends & holidays) + Hours: 8:00-4:30pm (typically - may also require rotating evenings) + Location: Ankeny, Iowa Responsibilities of the Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS): + Assess individual leisure and recreational interests for persons served. + Develop and implement individualized and group recreation therapy interventions. + Facilitate activities within the facility and in the community. + Coordinate evening/weekend programs and special events. + Complete documentation including assessments, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries. + Collaborate closely with the transdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support holistic recovery.
