The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician isresponsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgicalequipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices arefunctioning properly.

Minimum Requirements:

Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per stateand/or client requirement One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred(Tissue Processing Technologist – only)  Degree in biology related field which includes a degree /certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred Current CPR if applicable TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable  Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)  Must meet all federal, state and local requirements  Must be at least 18 years of age  

High School diploma – Required
NBSTSA Certification as a surgical technologist (CST) required
2 years of experience in an operating room setting
BLS certification required
