Work location: Texas Health Rockwall - 3150 Horizon Rd, Rockwall, TX 75032 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday with occasional on-call weekends. Shift assignment will be determined at the time of hire (Day shift or Evening shift). This is what makes our team exceptional: + State-of-the-art sterilization equipment and technology + A collaborative environment that values precision and efficiency + Flexible scheduling with variable shifts Here’s What You Need + High School Diploma or Equivalent required + 1 year of sterile processing experience preferred + CSPDT - Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician required upon hire or + CBSPD - Certification Board for Sterile Processing & Distribution required upon hire or + CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician required upon hire + HSPA – Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician preferred + Detail oriented and strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols What You Will Do + Performs scanning of instrument trays for location and creation of count sheet/label. Demonstrates proper assembly technique for instrument trays. Demonstrates wrapping/containing of instruments/tray. + Performs scanning of instrument trays to track location using the Cenistrac system. Demonstrates decontamination process according to policy and procedure. Cleaning of instruments manually and using automated cleaners. + Performs tests and documents as directed to ensure proper operation of washers. + Demonstrates the proper loading technique for sterilization method. Effectively utilizes infection control concepts. Effectively handles all chemical and cleaning agents used for cleaning, decontamination and sterilization of instruments and equipment. + Demonstrates processing and distribution of special medical emergency carts, and Urology carts. Monitors supplies as necessary.
