**Schedule:** Full Time Monday through Friday 6:30am - 6:00pm (with extended hours on Monday and Thursday). Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm.
**Shift** : 8-hour shifts start at 6:30am, 7:00am, 7:30am, and 8:00am

**The role you'll contribute:**
Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The primary responsibility is the provision of medication distributive functions and pharmacy operational tasks, which includes but is not limited to assisting the pharmacist with all duties of preparing and dispensing of medications, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role encompasses performing advanced pharmacy technician duties and participating in quality and performance improvement initiatives. The individual performs duties necessary for the effective daily operation of all department services and programs. This includes accurately responding to medication dispensing requests, preparing medications for pharmacist final review/check, delivering checked medications, and returning unused or expired medications to appropriate pharmacy areas.

+ Pharmacy Operations * Actively performs all pharmacy technician functions and maintains active proficiency in standard work parameters, hospital and pharmacy specific computer systems, and operational programs * Maintains operational expertise and competency and actively provides coverage of at least two of the following: * Central/distributive pharmacy operations * Sterile compounding * Decentral/ Automated Dispensing Cabinet delivery pharmacy operations * Controlled substance Handling
+ * AND at least TWO of the following: * Hazardous Medication Sterile Compounding * Quality Assurance & USP required sampling * Technician Inventory Check (i.e., tech check tech where authorized) * Medication History * Supporting Clinical Services * Purchasing and Inventory Management * Participates in appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems. Maintains expertise in electronic health record system and be able to accurately interpret electronic records as needed * Accurately completes medication inventories and accurately prepares and dispenses patientspecific medication doses. Prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when checking products * Performs oral and injectable compounding, if applicable * Carries out special projects or assignments as directed by supervisor or manager * Understands how to handle process and appropriately dispose of all waste materials, including all levels of hazardous waste, within the department. Knowledgeable about the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Hazardous Medication Spill Kits in the event of a hazardous medication spill.
+ Pharmacy Practice * Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications. * Prepares and delivers medication in an accurate, safe and timely manner
+ Clinical Pharmacy Services * Supports practice in all pharmacy areas and clinical services * Collaborates with other pharmacy staff * Collaborates with care providers and Pharmacists to optimize care and improve services
Qualifications
**The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:**
+ 2 hospital pharmacy experience (Retail or ambulatory experience acceptable for medication history function in lieu of hospital experience)
+ PTCB - Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - PTCB)
+ NHA Pharmacy Technician (CPHT - NHA)
+ RPT Registered Pharmacy Tech - FL License
