Certified Pharmacy Technician
**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Position Purpose** At Mercy Care, our Certified Pharmacy Technicians are essential to delivering compassionate, high-quality pharmaceutical care to Atlanta’s most vulnerable populations. Working under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, you will assist in preparing and distributing medications, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate patient records. Your role supports our mission to provide courteous, timely, and cooperative service to patients, caregivers, and staff. **What You Will Do** + Collect and enter prescription data accurately into the pharmacy system + Prepare, package, and distribute medications per established protocols + Greet patients, answer phones, and respond to EHR messages + Process payments and manage point-of-sale transactions + Handle medication charges, credits, and returns + Maintain inventory and ensure adequate stock levels + Prepare medication deliveries for Mercy Care clinic locations + Support pharmacy students and residents during training + Uphold HIPAA standards and ensure the confidentiality of patient information + Perform additional duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations **Minimum Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED + Completion of a formal pharmacy technician training program or two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical field applications + Active Pharmacy Technician registration in the State of Georgia + Active status as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA) preferred, CPhT required within 6 months + Minimum of two years of pharmacy work experience in a retail or ambulatory/outpatient clinic setting required + Health center pharmacy experience preferred + 340B Program experience preferred + Medication Assistance Program (MAP) experience preferred + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills + Strong math skills (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) + Willingness to work in a collaborative, shared leadership environment **Position Highlights and Benefits:** + Day-1 Benefits (PTO accrual, retirement plan and match, health insurance and more!) + Opportunity to get paid daily – through DailyPay + Paid holidays and generous Paid Time Off (PTO) + Discounts with major vendors; AT&T, Verizon, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Quicken Loans, AND MORE! + Low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
