SSM Health Rehabilitation Network's Day Institute Program offers a specialized, outpatient rehabilitation program in a flexible full-day format for individuals who can benefit from a comprehensive approach to recovery, but don't necessarily need rehabilitation in the acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of a licensed OT, assists with the implementation of the therapy plan of careResponsible for delegation and direction of supportive personnel for those assigned patients, in order to enhance patient care servicesConsistently communicates with supervising OT in regard to scheduled patients to ensure identification of need for assessment and reassessment of patients, modification of treatment plans and other interventions requiring therapist directionParticipates in education of patients, families, students, coworkers and selfPerforms other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, within the scope of practice Qualifications Education: Associate’s Degree in a OT Assistant program requiredCurrent and valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) requiredCardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification Additional Data
