Astria Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team! This will position will be in our Family Birthing Center in Sunnyside, WA.
The schedule for this position is: 2 NOC shifts a week. Days to be discussed at interview.
What you get to do every day!
This position is responsible for assisting the nurses and other care providers in direct and/or indirect patient care.
Records patient’s vital signs, intake and output, per hospital policy.Observes patient’s condition(s) and reports any changes. Assists in the performance of the patients’ activities of daily living and personal hygiene, to include bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, eating, and using the toilet or bedside commode. Answers phone calls, patient call lights, and determines how best to address the patients’ needs. Orders supplies and stocks rooms and carts (delivery, OR and Postpartum) to assure necessary items are available for patient care.Prepares patient’s chart and rooms for admission and discharge. Files records received from outpatient clinics to assure continuity of safe and effective care. Performs routine newborn tests per hospital policy (i.e. Hearing Screen, transcutaneous bili meter check, and critical congenital heart disease screening). Sets up and cleans up after vaginal deliveries. Performs other duties as assignedCollaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.Adheres to the core values and standards High School Graduate or GED Current Nursing Assistance Certificate from the State of WashingtonOne of more years' experience in direct patient care. Current Basic Life Support certification Oral and written fluency in the English language.
Preferred Qualifications and Education.
Oral and written fluency in Spanish.
