Certified Medical Assistant Non-Contract (Direct Placement) | Offers Benefits | Long-term Opportunity Job Description The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive and delegated tasks. The Medical Assistant receives direction and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department, and organization. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions, or problems that arise is an essential element of the Medical Assistant role. Responsibilities + Manage customer flow throughout the clinic. + Assist providers in managing and treating customers from diverse backgrounds and age groups. + Provide individualized care for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. + Collaborate with Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to achieve defined goals. + Communicate with the healthcare team regarding progress, concerns, questions, or problems. Essential Skills + Medical assisting + CMA + EMR + Medical + Patient care + Epic Additional Skills & Qualifications + High School graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) + Graduate of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program + Previous experience in a clinical setting + Passed x-ray operator’s examination or willingness to take the exam + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently + Proficiency in using computer software applications + Current BLS Certification Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46238.00 - $56929.00/yr.
