Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. This role involves supporting dermatologists by rooming patients, documenting vital information, and assisting with various clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and be capable of delivering excellent patient care.
ResponsibilitiesRoom patients and document all vital information.Scribe information for the dermatologist.Provide post-operative wound care instructions to patients.Draw blood for laboratory tests.Clean and stock exam rooms efficiently.Schedule patient appointments.Assist dermatologist with surgical photographs, biopsies, and patch testing (note: the consultant will not perform these tests but will be present in the room).Essential SkillsCertification as a Medical Assistant.1-3 years of experience as a CMA or MA.Proficiency in medical assisting and health care practices.Competence in scheduling appointments and patient intake.Ability to draw blood and check vital signs.Familiarity with medical terminology and medical scribing.Strong customer service skills and triage capabilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required.Work Environment
The position offers a structured schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The work involves travel to Mt. Pleasant and Burlington locations as needed, aligning with the providers' rotation between sites. For split shifts requiring travel, the hourly rate is applicable during travel time, though mileage reimbursement is not provided.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
