Therapist Occupational Therapist for our Outpatient Rehab Clinic in Farmington CT The Certified Hand Therapist independently evaluates patientsrsquo level of hand and upper extremity function and determines develops and implements individualized treatment goals and plans in alignment with the patientcaregiver goals Determines treatment strategies and delivers direct care to promote healing of complex conditions and injuries of the shoulder elbow wrist and hand to maximize mobility and remediate and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain Assessment treatment and rehabilitation planning for hand and upper extremity patient population including but not limited to post surgical patients tendon injuries and fractures Responsibilitiesmiddot Upon referral performs thorough examination and evaluation of surgical and non surgical patientrsquos level of upper extremity function Performs evaluations for upper extremity strength motor control joint mobility soft tissue integrity pain and functional abilities of daily livingmiddot Deliver therapeutic techniques that are appropriate to patientrsquos needs and medical statusmiddot Implement deliver and delegate patient care by utilizing appropriate interventions and clinical decision making Therapeutic techniques include but are not limited to exercises pain management wound care swelling and orthoticsmiddot
