Key responsibilities
In this role, you will lead the certification and approval process for new low voltage products and maintain the validity of them, ensuring compliance with relevant international and national standards. You will work as part of the global team for Certification Engineering and Standardization in Smart Power.
The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid
This role contributes to the Certification in the Smart Power Division in Heidelberg. The main stakeholders are Agile Teams working in R&D for new product developments and product maintenance. Additionally, there is a responsibility to support manufacturing units in the area of product certification.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and evidence for certification submissions
Staying informed about specific certification requirements in target markets and ensuring products meet those standards
Working closely with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to obtain approvals for market entry
Managing the renewal process for existing certificates, proactively addressing any changes in standards or regulations
Staying up-to-date with industry standards and assessing the impact of new standards on existing products. Actively participating as a representative in standard committees such as IEC

Qualifications for the role
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
Proven experience in product certification, preferably in the field of electrical components or a similar industry
In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and certification processes
Membership in, or willingness to participate in, industry-standard committees such as IEC
Strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Comfortable communicating (spoken and written) in English
No obstacles to traveling
Strong awareness of health, safety, and security rules
