Our Western Operation division is looking for a Centrifuge Operator to join our team! We are seeking qualified, responsible, and reliable candidates to support our organization.

 

Position Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Operator will be required to treat residual materials using specialized technology and equipment in accordance with GFL Environment's operating procedures.

Key Accountabilities

Treat residual materials using specialized technology and equipment according to GFL's operating procedures.

Respect and comply with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements and the wearing of personal protective equipment.

Ensure all equipment and systems are operated according to GFL standards.

Ensure that the required documents are legible, accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Ensure safety rules and safe work practices.

Work autonomously; perform daily tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision.

Perform repair and mechanical maintenance of certain equipment.

Any other tasks 

Experience, Qualifications & Education

High school diploma or High school diploma with experience will also be considered.

Asset - Bilingualism.

Requirement - Hold a valid driver's license

Ability to interact with people, customer service skills.

Positive leader, safe attitude, autonomous, resourceful, good communication.

Working Conditions

Ability to work outdoors for extended periods (1-3 weeks)

Shifts can be either day or night, typically 12 hours/shift, depending on project and/or location.

Shift rotation could be three, two or one week on/one week off depending on project and/or location.

This is a safety sensitive position. Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Additional D+A screening may be carried out at project sites.
