About your role as the Centre Manager of headspace Capalaba.

The Centre Manager holds the key leadership position within the headspace Capalaba team, providing oversight to coordination and delivery of services, and is responsible for ensuring the centre meets all contractual and compliance obligations. 

The incumbent will lead development and ensure delivery of evidence-based and innovative mental health services of the highest quality. In partnership with the Manager – headspace operations, provide operational management to all staff and Private Practitioners, ensuring staff are provided with adequate supervision and oversight over their provision of line management to their team members.

Key Role Accountabilities:

Provide operational management to the headspace Capalaba centre, acting as a key link between WMQ, the Consortium, PHN and hNO and ensuring the service runs in accordance with headspace trademark license deed and contractual requirements.

Lead ongoing improvement of headspace services, including clinical governance and practice documents and processes, and develop and implement new projects, partnerships and initiatives.

Supporting the Senior Clinical Advisor and Senior Mental Health Clinicians to provide clinical leadership, consultation and expertise to headspace staff, Allied Health Professionals, and tertiary placement students in the delivery of specialist mental health care to young people and their families through appropriate orientation and provision of adequate supervision, training and professional development.

In partnership with the Community Development Officer, communicate, promote and progress the vision and strategic plan of the headspace centre amongst consortium partners and the broader community by building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, including by representing the service at interagency forums.

Manage resources and rosters in a flexible and an efficient manner to effectively manage workflow and to ensure timely and responsive service delivery, and contribute to organisational planning, budgeting and reporting processes.

About You

Tertiary Qualification in Allied Health discipline including Social Work, Psychology, and Occupational Therapy with demonstrated management experience.

Experienced working in a leadership role in youth mental health services and service development and maintaining continuous quality improvement.

Experienced in complex clinical triage, assessment and allocation of referrals.

Proven ability in the leadership of multidisciplinary teams, including the provision of

Advanced computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, electronic recording systems and data management tools.

Ability to think laterally to identify opportunities for improvement to streamline and manage business and customer needs.

Desirable:

Advanced level of clinical skills and demonstrated experience in a range of mental health service settings inclusive of Youth Mental Health.

Current full registration or eligibility with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or current full membership or eligibility with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), with ability to bill through MBS.
