Central Supply Aide - Materials Management - Per Diem - Days

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services in southern Michigan and Ohio. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, receives and stocks department shelves with supplies, takes inventory, inputs all issues of supplies in hospital’s in-house computer, and assists with special projects. Consistently provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers by going above and beyond to help others, conveying positive energy to patients and co-workers, supporting and adhering to the Service Excellence Standards, striving for high standards of medical practice and actively participating in our efforts to grow and improve healthcare for our patients and community.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

*All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise*

1. Maintains a neat, clean work environment using good storage distribution techniques: proper location, rotation identification (on a daily basis)

2. Unpacks all items received from storeroom including sterile supplies, ensuring the integrity of sterility. Breaks down empty cartons and hauls to the compactor

3. Verifies expiration dates as appropriate, documents and organizes all supplies

4. Maintains adequate inventory levels on department floors and replenishes from warehouse stock when supply levels are low

5. Receives requests from patient units and user departments for supplies, and delivers to requesting areas

6. Cleans carts and supply rooms as scheduled or needed; ensures dock is clean and free of debris

7. Performs other duties as assigned including covering for other personnel in the department due to absences

8. Due to continuously changing patient census/activity and staffing needs, must have the flexibility to work a varying schedule should the need arise, which may require working overtime (greater than 40 hours a week) and/or shift durations that exceed the assigned status for shift length and/or hours per week
