Bulger Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Pack Room Attendant to join our dedicated and compassionate team in Lawrence, MA. This entry-level position is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to start or grow their career in veterinary healthcare while making a meaningful impact behind the scenes.

Schedule:

Four 9–10 hour shifts per week

One weekend day required

Compensation:

$21–$26/hour, based on skills assessment and experience

About the Role

The Central Sterile/Pack Room is the hub of all cleaning and sterilization efforts that support our surgical services and patient care teams. Pack Room Attendants play a critical role in ensuring a safe and sterile environment for every procedure performed in our specialty hospital.

This position involves collaborating with team members from various departments and is ideal for individuals who enjoy structured tasks, attention to detail, and being an integral part of a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with department supervisors to maintain adequate sterile supplies for daily surgical needsClean, inspect, assemble, wrap, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipmentDisinfect and prepare surgical suitesOperate steam and plasma sterilizersPerform routine equipment inspections and maintenanceMonitor inventory and expiration dates on sterile suppliesConduct regular testing of autoclaves and report resultsDisinfect linens used in the Operating RoomPerform detailed cleaning of the ORs, pack room, and equipment to meet hospital cleanliness standardsAssist with other tasks as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1+ years of related work experience preferredPrevious experience in a veterinary or surgical setting is a plus, but not requiredStrong desire to learn and grow in a clinical environmentAbility to work independently in a fast-paced settingStrong communication and organizational skillsBasic computer proficiency and willingness to learn our hospital information systemAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodationFluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role
