Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time. **Your responsibilities will include:** + Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards + Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care + Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs + Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized + Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries **What qualifications you will need:** · High School graduate or equivalent · Knowledge of sterilization supplies, equipment and instruments · Previous experience (1-2 years) strongly preferred · Basic computer knowledge HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383 bed hospital. We are located in Bradenton, FL. We have a thirteen acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. We have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement and inpatient rehabilitation.
