About the Role

Schedule: Flexible shifts including Saturday and Sunday (1:00 PM – 11:30 PM) and two additional 10-hour weekday shifts (based on department needs).

Orientation: Provided during the day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday).

Holiday Obligation: Participation in holiday coverage as required.

Key Contribution: Support the team by covering vacant shifts due to PTO requests and other needs, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Clean, decontaminate, inspect, and reassemble medical equipment and instruments, both manually and mechanically.

Prepare and assemble surgical trays and case carts according to standardized guidelines.

Monitor, document, and interpret sterilizer parameters to ensure proper equipment function.

Troubleshoot and maintain decontamination and sterilization equipment.

Adhere to policies regarding sterile processing, infection control, and safety standards.

Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance of instrument trays and patient care equipment.

Communicate effectively using strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Engage in cost-effective work practices and strive for performance improvements.
