Central Production Logistics Associate

$19.82 - $21.32 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to ensure efficient shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling in a high-volume production environment. This position supports operational flow by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and adhering to food safety and compliance standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and quality Unload and stage materials safely and efficiently Pick, stage, and prepare outgoing loads for delivery to stores in accordance with order specifications Coordinate with vendors and drivers to schedule and manage pick-ups and deliveries Accurately record all incoming and outgoing products within the inventory management system Rotate stock and ensure adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits Report shortages, damages, or inventory discrepancies promptly to management Handle allergen ingredients in compliance with Harmons and FSMA standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of shipping, receiving, and storage areas Follow all food safety, quality assurance, and sanitation protocols (FSMA, HACCP, etc.) Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment Adhere strictly to OSHA guidelines and facility safety standards when handling products and chemicals Coordinate with production, sanitation, and quality control teams to maintain an efficient and timely material flow Communicate any delays, issues, or concerns that may impact production or shipping timelines promptly Assist in maintaining accurate and thorough shipping and receiving documentation to support audits and traceability Support the logistics team with special projects and tasks as assigned Assists as needed to ensure the success of the facility as a whole

Desired knowledge, skills, and abilities:

A high school diploma or GED preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Excellent organization and planning skills Previous experience in warehouse logistics, shipping/receiving, or inventory control preferred Knowledge of food safety standards (FSMA, HACCP) and allergen handling is a plus Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely Must obtain Harmons’ Forklift Certification Ability to interpret policies and procedures Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with customers and fellow associates Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, consistent, and forward focused Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized skills and techniques Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Work is generally performed in a safe and comfortable store environment with the possibility of frequent exposure to hot, cold, slippery and wet conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to grasp, climb, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, bend, and reach; perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination; hear and respond to customer inquiries. Also requires standing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day and the ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds from location to location.
