SUMMARY The role is responsible for demonstrating competence in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, sterile storage, and case cart assembly. Reports to the CPD Manager or designee. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Consistently demonstrates all requirements of CPD Tech II Maintain certification as a Technician in Sterile Processing from either CBSPD or HSPA Holds an additional certification from one of the accrediting bodies in one of the following: scope processing, CST, instrument certification Minimum three (3) years of related experience SPECIFIC DUTIES Supports the Mission, Vision and Values of Munson Healthcare. Monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure work is completed. Champion for process improvement initiatives. Able to work independently doing special projects and a super user and designated trainer/preceptor on multiple pieces of CPD equipment and/or applications such as instrument tracking software. In the absence of a team leader and/or supervisor, may be responsible for functioning in a lead role. Embraces, communicates, and participates in ensuring departmental compliance with AAMI standards and The Joint Commission readiness. Performs all other duties as assigned.
