Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, you will be responsible strategic Marketing functions encompass a range of activities that are crucial for analyzing and understanding both the market and internal company data to make informed decisions and position the company effectively
Roles & Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: This involves a comprehensive examination of the market, including products, volumes, market share, and competitors. It’s about understanding the market landscape, identifying trends, and recognizing opportunities and threats.Internal Data Analysis: This function focuses on analyzing sales data, product performance, distribution channels, margins, and costs within the company.Segmentation and Positioning: This involves dividing the market into distinct groups of customers with similar needs or characteristics and then positioning the company’s offerings to meet the needs of each segment.Data Collection: This is the process of gathering information from various sources to inform strategic marketing decisions. It includes collecting data on customer preferences, buying habits, market trends, and competitor activities.Resource Analysis: This function looks at the company’s resources, including people, investments, and other assets, and assesses how effectively they are being utilized.Innovation Management: Encouraging a culture of innovation within the company, identifying new market opportunities, and staying ahead of industry trends.Development Strategies: Outlining methods for product development, including ideation, design thinking, and prototyping, to ensure the company remains at the forefront of market evolution.Strategic Alliances and Partnerships: Building relationships with other entities to expand market reach, share resources, and collaborate on new ventures.Manage the Product Roadmap. Define new products and drive its way to the market.Vision and Strategy: Setting the long-term vision and strategy for the company’s products. Product Managers define the ‘why’, ‘what’, and ‘when’ of the product that the engineering team will build. Special focus has to be given to the product ‘selling proposition’: why the customer hast to buy our Products?Cross-functional Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams from a product’s conception through to its launch. They ensure teams have all the necessary information and resources to deliver a successful product.Customer Advocacy: Acting as the voice of the customer within the organization, ensuring that customer feedback and insights are integral to product development.Market Expertise: Possessing a deep understanding of the market conditions and potential shifts, enabling them to anticipate changes and adapt the product strategy accordingly.Lifecycle Management: Overseeing the entire lifecycle of the product, managing the end-to-end process from ideation, through development, to launch, and beyond.Performance Analysis: Measuring and analyzing product performance and success based on predefined metrics, and making data-driven decisions to ensure continuous improvement.
These functions are interconnected and work together to provide a holistic view of the company’s market position and internal capabilities, guiding strategic decisions that drive growth and competitiveness.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and motivations:
Complete higher education (Engineering, Administration and Economics).Desirable: MBA or Post GraduationAdvanced English is requiredExperience in sales in the energy segment, desirable in a cable mktDemonstrate administrative aptitude, time management and the ability to multitask.Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with stressful circumstances.Accustomed to the management environment of daily KPI's of sales volume, margin, market share, etc.Proactive and with excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and teamwork.Empathy and diversity in the management of its customers, promoting the company at the most different levels of the customer's organization.Work part-time at Home-office and available to visit customers and travel 50-70% of the time.Passion for learning and personal growth, with a desire to grow and gain share in the customers under its responsibilitySolid technical understanding of the sales process to support customers under your responsibility.Ability to use Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook.
