Centerless Grinder Operator - 2nd Shift

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Centerless Grinder Operator - 2nd Shift. 

The hours for this role are 3pm-11pm (training will take place on first shift, 7am-3pm)

The hourly rate for this position is $29.89 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The Centerless Grinder will set up and operate external grinding on seal cups. seal housing and welding electrodes. Setup and operate spot welders to weld lugs into cup assemblies. Setup and operate manual polishers to polish cups and/or remove Teflon coatings. You will also perform these jobs as directed by group leader or supervisor. 

 

Work with blueprints, operation sheets, method sheets, sketches and verbal instructions to produce and pair part in accordance with acceptable quality and quantity levels.When running centerless grinder, select , mount, balance and dress grinding /regulating wheels. Set feed and speeds according to type of material and size/finish requirements.Setup drop sticks, verniers torque tester and micrometers to measure acceptability of welds. responsible for checking own work after first piece s checked by group leader or supervisor. report any faulty operation or defective material or unusual conditions to group leader Qualifications: This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution Familiar with micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other tools used to verify part dimensions and quality 1 year experience as a Centerless GrinderExperience working with blueprints, method sheets and sketches Skills: High Precision: Achieving tight tolerances and accurate dimensions.Excellent Surface Finish: Producing smooth, high-quality surfaces.High Roundness and Straightness: Ensuring the parts are perfectly round and straight.Less Deflection: Enabling the grinding of long and slender parts with minimal deflection.Efficiency: Faster production times compared to other grinding methods.Ease of Automation: Suitable for automation in high-volume production.
