Join an innovative team dedicated to advancing cell therapy by working within clean rooms to assist in their qualification and operation. You will play a vital role in processing cells and samples, ensuring that cultures are properly cryopreserved and manipulated using aseptic techniques, while adhering to GMP practices and SOPs.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in clean room qualification by helping to burden clean rooms for testing.Run supplies and materials as needed for clean room operation and processing.Perform aseptic gowning to enter clean rooms to help with qualification.Work within manufacturing to assist in processing cells and samples.Process cultures, cryopreserve, and manipulate cell products using aseptic techniques.Follow GMP practices and SOPs.Participate in cellular facility operations.Perform any processing and testing required to produce and assess safe and efficacious products.Support clinical trials.Work with batch records, cell expansions, volume reductions, depletions, and enrichments.Essential SkillsAseptic operation experience.Experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory settings.Previous experience in cell therapy.Experience working within a biology lab, either academic or industry.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Experience in lab gowning.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree within biology or related scientific field is preferred.Stem cell preparation and cell/tissue culture skills.Effective communication within a team environment.Work Environment
You will be part of a large team of operators, reporting to Operations Managers, receiving extensive training for aseptic gowning in clean rooms. Initial training will be Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm for the first 2-3 months. Once permanent, you will work four ten-hour shifts on Thursday-Friday and Sunday-Monday. Flexibility is required as shifts may include Saturday and Sunday with possible 1st or 2nd shift assignments, sometimes with arrival time notification only the day before.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.78/hr.
