Cell Lead- 1st Shift

**Position Summary:**
Reporting to the Value Stream Supervisor, the Cell Lead will be responsible for the management of his or her manufacturing cell(s), ensuring that the production schedule is met and followed, and that key objectives are achieved, while continually improving performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).
**Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):**
+ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by ensuring the cell is consistent with safety and 5S standards.
+ Perform hourly performance sheet checks and signoffs and execute on recovery plans if needed.
+ Drive team’s adherence to process procedures, part blueprints and specifications, accurate 3.1 information expectations, proper labor reporting, and inventory transactions.
+ Improve product quality through KPI boards with FPY data capture, analysis, and effective corrective action.
+ Lead the cell by setting expectations daily through comprehensive kick-off meetings, and KPI board ownership.
+ Allocate resources needed to meet hourly/daily demand, ensure the availability of raw material for the cell, monitor performance to capacity, coach and resolve performance issues, document if needed. Perform direct labor as needed to meet demand.
+ Analyze root cause of problems, drive implementation and sustaining of improved methods and procedures with engineering, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and other functional organizations.
+ Responsible for the training of new employees and continued development training of experienced employees, and management of training documentation Including, but not limited to JHAs, job performance checklists, cross training
+ Participate in continuous improvement events (such as Kaizens) and deployment within cell; identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives that favorably impacts safety, quality, delivery, cost, growth, on-time delivery, and lead-time.
+ Ensure that appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated through the TPM program. When downtime occurs, ensure downtime and production impact is minimized. Coordinate with Maintenance to perform routine equipment TPM/PM’s.
**Essential Qualifications / Experience:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ Must be able to lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance, any parts weighing over 50lbs requires a team lift.
+ Two to four years of experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities while easily adapting to changing situations.
+ Solid decision-making skills to advance continuous improvement.
**Preferred Qualifications/Experience**
+ Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, Kanban (Material Replenishment System), Cellular Manufacturing and JIT systems.
+ Knowledge/experience of world class manufacturing and Lean techniques.
+ Previous team or group leader experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Associate’s degree in related field.
