Job Title: Cell Engineering TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a Cell Engineering Technician who will play a crucial role in battery cell assembly by preparing components such as electrodes, separators, and pouch cases through cutting, welding, and drying. This position involves fabricating various prototype battery cell configurations and documenting preparations and assemblies using travelers and SOP documents, which are then input into our database system. The technician will assist or perform the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, including procuring cell components, communicating work progress with the team, and reporting technical results to the supervisor. Responsibilities + Prepare battery cell components such as electrodes, separators, and pouch cases through cutting, welding, and drying. + Fabricate various prototype battery cell configurations. + Document cell component preparations and prototype cell assemblies using travelers and SOP documents. + Input documentation into the database system. + Assist or carry out operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment. + Procure cell components as needed. + Communicate work progress with the team and report technical results to the supervisor. Essential Skills + Bachelor of Science in Engineering. + Familiarity with MS Windows and Office software. + Ability to document travelers, test results, and SOPs using MS Office programs. + Capability to work in moisture-controlled dry room environments. + Strong communication skills for working with cross-functional teams. + Ability to comprehend directions and execute technical experiments with minor supervision. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1+ years of work experience in a hands-on technical position in an R&D laboratory environment. + Experience related to battery cell component processes and prototype lithium-ion cell fabrication is a plus. Work Environment The work environment includes a moisture-controlled dry room, and it requires the ability to move in the direction of the team to propel progress with strong support and execution of job responsibilities.
