Job DescriptionEurofins PSS is seeking a Cell Culture Process Development Associate to support upstream process development for biologics manufacturing. This role focuses on designing and optimizing fed-batch cell culture processes to produce high-quality recombinant proteins. You’ll work closely with scientists and engineers to ensure processes are consistent, scalable, and ready for tech transfer to pilot teams and CMOs.
Key Responsibilities
Support upstream process development using ambr15, ambr250, and bench-top bioreactors.Assist in designing and executing lab-scale studies to optimize cell culture conditions.Prepare experimental protocols and contribute to multiple projects within the team.Analyze and interpret data independently; contribute to technical reports and documentation.Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with guidance from senior staff.Support technology transfer by consolidating and authoring technical documents.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals.Maintain lab equipment and perform routine cleaning and calibration.Follow all safety procedures and complete required training.Occasionally lift lab equipment (up to 30 lbs) as needed.QualificationsAssociate’s degree in chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience, ORBachelor’s degree in a related field with 0+ years of experience.Experience working in a lab setting (highly desirable).Familiarity with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques (preferred).Exposure to bioreactor operations and supporting instrumentation (e.g., metabolite analyzers, shake flasks).Strong interest in cell culture process development.Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage time effectively and multitask in a lab environment.Proficient in using lab equipment and documenting work accurately.Authorized to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.Additional InformationThis position is on-site, full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime as needed and the potential for some off-shift hours, depending on the project.
