Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking an experienced CEI Senior Project Engineer to support our local projects within the Orlando, FL region.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directing a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsSupports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unitMakes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritativeInitiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issuesSupervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limitsDirecting a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff membersDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and proceduresReviewing programs for conformance with Department standardsUnder minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methodsAssumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationValid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewDue to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required Professional Engineer (PE) 
Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellenceDemonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activitiesCommunicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)FDOT Advanced MOTCTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)To be achieved by Project NTPSix years of engineering experienceTwo of those years involved in relevant transportation projectsMaster's Degree in Engineering  Professional Engineer (PE) with the ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state
