Job Description
The position of Companion Diagnostic (CDx) Lead for Croatia is part of the Oncology Team in Croatia and Oncology CBL.
This position reports to the Oncology Customer Business Unit Director for Croatia and Slovenia.
As the CDx Lead he/she will be responsible for localizing and implementing the project-related biomarker and CDx strategy for the our product in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, metastatic Urothelial Cancer, Head & Neck Cancer and other new indications.
CDx Lead will be driving strategic choices, adaptation and local implementation of the CDx launch readiness and excellence plan according to country needs and requirements.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the CDx, translational medicine as well as Oncology field.
Duties, responsibilities, activities
The Companion Diagnostic (CDx) Lead for Croatia customize and implement, through appropriate leadership, direction and action, agreed global/regional biomarker and CDx strategies and commercialization plans.
Develop appropriate biomarker tactical plans that are suitable for NSCLC, mUC, H&N and emerging biomarkers and technologies for new indications
Providing markets with guidance on local implementation in alignment with the global and regional CDx teams
Acting as primary Point-of-Contact for the global and regional CDx teams to represent the voice of Croatia
Appropriately engaging with academic and external industry-based experts and providers in Croatia who are focusing on translational medicine and CDx deployment (scientists, oncologists, pathologists, lab technicians, pulmonologist, thoracic surgeons)
Coordinating Medical Education, training and coaching activities for key stakeholders (pathologists, lab technicians)
Securing capacity and quality via appropriately establishing centers of excellence for biomarker testing and implementing biomarker testing initiatives including QC/QA programs
Taking the lead on monitoring of biomarker and CDx activities, coordination of data collection and interpretation, and preparation of the results for informed decisions

This position should be located in local market (Croatia)
Extent of Travel
10% international. 30% Domestic traveling
Education & Experience, Competencies
Minimum: Healthcare education, Bachelor or University degree from accredited university, preferably Medical Doctor or Pharmacists
Minimum: 5 years’ experience within Pharma, preferable in-depth knowledge and experience in biomarker implementation and CDx commercialization and preferred experience in Oncology (e.g. launch preparation and roll-out of a CDx-supported Oncology brand)
Ability to manage key external stakeholders, to influence without authority, and to create and carry out action plans in matrix cross-functional team structures
Exhibit strong leadership, problem solving, project planning, teamwork, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills
As this is an above-country position, you should also be willing to travel within the region and work cross-culturally
