Position OverviewC&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Drive a tractor-trailer (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler) combination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations, to transport and deliver productsMake an average of 6-8 stops per day; pallets can consist of all types of productsManeuver truck into loading or unloading positionWeigh truck as needed en-route and/or at vendors to document weight and conform to state/company regulationsElectronic logging according to I.C.C. regulationsInspect truck before and after trips and submit report indicating truck conditionRead bill of lading to determine assignmentTravel Required: Yes
