About The Job:

The CCU Technician provides care to patients in CCU under the supervision of the registered nurse.  This care focuses primarily on personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and activities of daily living.  The CCU tech performs receptionist, secretarial, housekeeping, and restocking duties and serves as a communication liaison in the departments.

 

What we are looking for:

Education:

Completion of nursing assistant certification or currently enrolled in an A.D.N., BSN, program with successful completion of the first semester of the A.D.N. program, OR first year completion of nursing courses in BSN, OR graduate of an A.D.N., BSN, or LPN program

State of Iowa nurse aide registry listing as “Active” or eligible

 

Experience: 

Nursing Assistant experience preferred

Basic computer skills required

 

Special Skills and Competencies:

Ability to work on multiple projects at one time and flexibility to meet department needs.

Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual.

Must provide proof of Basic Life Support (BLS Healthcare Provider, American Heart Association; or American Red Cross, Professional Rescuer-LIVE class only) via current card before employment or within 60 days of hire and maintain current status.

Completes Mandatory Reporting: Child and Dependent Adult Abuse requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years.
