About You and this Role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Cathodic Protection Technician in Texas City, TX. The purpose of this job is to manage the day-to-day corrosion control program. Gulf Coast Pipeline consists of over 3,200 miles of pipelines in US Gulf Coast. To effectively manage the landscape our department is broken into 4 area teams. The CP Tech role is associated with the Lomax team that handles maintenance and repair of cathodic protection assets between the Chocolate Bayou on the west and the state line of Texas on the east. The US Gulf Coast feedstock, products, and natural gas pipelines transport over 24 billion pounds annually. The successful candidate could work our of offices located inTexas City,Dayton, orGroves. Responsibilities: + Manage day to day corrosion control program for Gulf Coast Pipeline (GCPL) (which includes Cathodic Protection (CP), coatings, External/Internal corrosion) to meet regulatory requirements on assets located in east Texas. + Manage vendors doing CP and coatings work for GCPL (ensure approved vendors are performing quality work and/or seek other vendors if needed). + Aligns with Integrity Management Program (IMP) group for Integrity Management in Corrosion Control and be the interface between IMP and CP to overlap schedules for better data collection working closely with the Turnaround (TA) Manager. + CP/coatings focal point/representative for new projects. + Maintain and monitor GCPL CP database. + Monitor and communicate status of assets with help of technicians (i.e. rectifier readings). + Develop all GCPL CP related expenses. Required Qualifications: A minimum of a High School Diploma and one of the following: Associate's degree or higher 3 years or more of military training/experience 3 or more years of maintenance, manufacturing, or other related experience + Must have a valid U.S. driver's license. + Prior cathodic protection experience is preferred. + Proficient in SAP and Primavera is preferred. + Prior knowledge of PCS software system is preferred. + Completed NACE Level I certification is preferred. + A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
