Responsibilities

Administers ionizing radiation using imaging modalities to perform radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patients status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patients age-specific needs is required.

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s cardiac catheterization lab is an environment of collaboration and growth. Our vision is to provide high-quality and safe patient care. This is done through a collaborative team of radiologic technologists, nurses, and physicians working in tandem to deliver unparalleled care. We treat patients who need diagnostic and complex coronary interventions, structural heart cases, and heart failure procedures including transplant and hemodynamic evaluation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited radiography program of study. One year experience as an interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab technologist preferred. Functions as a Cardiac Cath Technologist. Ability to improvise standard procedures. Ability to work independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum operational efficiency. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. ARRT-R and Arizona CRT required. Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency. ACLS required within 6 months of hire. CV, CI,VI, RCIS or RCES required within two years of hire. Certification in Cardiac or Vascular Intervention by the ARRT preferred.
