Responsibilities
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Radiologic Technologist Lead (Cath Lab Rad Tech Lead) is a top-tier clinical expert with expanded focus on procedural leadership, vendor collaboration, and high-level troubleshooting. The Cath Lab Rad Tech Lead provides expert-level support during complex cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures and serves as a go-to resource for technical challenges in real time. In addition to ensuring procedural efficiency, patient safety, and adherence to radiation safety standards, this role oversees coordination of case-related supplies and supports vendor management. This role collaborates closely with physicians, clinical supervisors, and supply chain partners to anticipate procedural needs and maintain optimal readiness. This position also mentors’ staff, contributes to onboarding and training, and plays a key role in refining workflows, improving equipment utilization, and maintaining high-quality outcomes. Through expertise, leadership, and proactive problem-solving, this role helps drive excellence in cardiac procedural services and supports the department's ongoing growth and innovation.
QualificationsEducation
High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate requiredGraduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology requiredExperience
5 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab requiredAnnual demonstration of expert cath lab radiologic technologist proficiency requiredKnowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and arrhythmia recognition or completed the basic arrhythmia course and passed the exam within 12 months of hire required
