Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The Cath Lab Clinical Analyst - CIRV will perform billing for the department and assist physicians with capturing professional billing that is consistent with the technical billing.  The position is a full-time analyst and occasional regular hour staffing in the Cath Lab, as needed.  The Cath Lab Clinical Analyst - CIRV will also provide support for procedure count reports/audits, registry data abstraction, and STEMI data and quality measurement reports for the registries and special projects as needed.  The analyst may also participate in education of new staff to the cath lab environment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or graduate from a Radiologic Sciences (RTR) approved by JCERT or Ten years’ experience as Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)

Preferred/Optional: Medical Coding Courses.

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Five years of experience in Interventional Cardiology or Interventional Radiology procedures as an RN/LPN, RTR, or CVT. Five years of cardiovascular billing experience with a digital billing system. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Critical Thinking skills.

Preferred/Optional: Cardiovascular coding experience.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required: Nurse/RTR license, as per clinical area of expertise. Cardiovascular Technologist, no license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire.  

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) at time of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) at time of hire.
