The Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center is looking for a Catering Sales Manager to join the team! Nestled in the vibrant city center and just two blocks from the Washington Convention Center our property offers guests comfort and convenience near the National Mall, White House, and Lincoln Memorial. We also feature a dedicated event space with over 8,000 sq. ft. of flexible space—including the 5,568 sq. ft. Capital Ballroom for up to 480 guests, a private dining room, on-site catering, and full A/V support.
\n\nIdeal candidates have a minimum of 3 years in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality sales, maintain long-term client relationships, particularly with corporate and social accounts, and Excellent verbal and written communication skills for timely and professional interaction with clients and internal teams.
\n\nShift Pattern: Must have full availability to work days, evenings, holiday's, and weekends as needed.
\nPay Rate: $25.90 - $30.90 per hour

\n\nWhat will I be doing?
\nAs Catering Sales Manager you are responsible for the negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience. Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts.
\nSpecifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nOrganize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals.\nTimely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person.\nCreate and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.\nDemonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.\nResolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.\nSelling and influencing both internal and external clients.\nMake decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.\nEnsure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed.\nParticipate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.\nOther duties as necessary based on business needs. \nRegular attendance. \n\n#LI-JG3
