Catering Associate

**Description**
Summary:
The Catering Associate will plan, prepare, set up, serve and clean up for special functions.
Responsibilities:
1. Must be able to adjust and manage time well to meet function workload and deadlines.
2. Prepares food for various types of meal services.
3. Follow sanitary policies and procedures for preparation, storage, and service of food.
4. Prepares, sets up, serves, and cleans up functions according to requisitions and policies and procedures.
5. Controls waste, utilizes leftovers, and replaces items correctly.
6. Maintains good condition of function china and equipment.
7. Supports and promotes Wayne UNC Health Care’s Guest Relations Policy.
8. Provides on-going compliance with Worker’s Compensation Policy.
9. Performs other departmental duties as assigned.

Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent required, any higher education from an accredited college will supersede this requirement.
Licensure/ Certification
• None.
Experience
• At least one year as a cook.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Detail oriented and accurate.
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficient with MS Office and EPIC. Able to learn new software rapidly.
Valid NC Driver’s License: No
If driving a Wayne UNC Vehicle, must be 21 years old and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
