Catering and Event Manager - Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento Riverfront Promenade
The beautiful Embassy Suites by Hilton Sacramento overlooks the Sacramento River, next to the iconic Tower Bridge. We're within a 10-minute walk of the Old Sacramento Waterfront District and events at the Golden 1 Center which makes it the perfect spot to host events! The team is looking to add a Catering & Event Manager to join their team! This is a great opportunity to work for a Hilton managed hotel in beautiful Sacramento! \n \nThe Catering and Events Department is responsible for the management of contracted groups and social event food/beverage and meeting room revenues and experiences, room block management, negotiation of supplier services. Ensuring event planner satisfaction while meeting and/or exceeding department and individual revenue goals.  \n \nPosition Statement\nAs a Catering and Event Manager you are responsible for event documentation and coordination with Sales, hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent, high level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of all hotel events.  You will be required to ensure a seamless turnover from sales to service back to sales. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.  Serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience.   \n \nPosition Summary \nAs a Team Member in this role, you will be responsible to:\n\n\nTo organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals. \n\n\nTimely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person. \n\n\nCreate and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations. \n\n\nDemonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes. \n\n\nResolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts. \n\n\nSelling and influencing both internal and external clients. \n\n\nMake decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution. \n\n\nEnsure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed. \n\n\nParticipate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.\n\n\n

Pay scale $23- $32/hr DOE
