Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moody Field Club on Moody AFB. Guaranteed 20 hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. Must be physically able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Responsible for all arrangements for catering activities (i.e. banquets, parties, receptions, luncheons and other special activities) requiring food and beverages service catered by the club. Draws up party contract and obtains member's signature. Provides catering service for member's functions held outside the club as authorized by policy, regulations and guidelines. Plans special membership affairs, menus, seating charts and table assignments. Supervises wait staff and custodial workers; responsible for complete work force management. Overseas club operations in the absence of the manager. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience which demonstrates the ability to plan and organize social functions for large group of people. Experience scheduling special events and arranging for catering services; responsibility for supervising or overseeing the food preparation or facility layout for group social functions. Experience that provided knowledge of formal protocol for high-ranking dignitaries is desirable. Must be able to communicate clearly with customers and possess skill in dealing with the public. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communication Food Handlers Certificate Food Preparation Knowledge of Protocol Lift Objects Organize Activities Plan and Organize Events Scheduling Events Understand English Work Schedule Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
