Are you ready to start your procurement career in a global company where learning, collaboration, and innovation go hand in hand? At Danfoss, we are looking for a proactive and curious Category Specialist to join our Indirect Procurement team

In this role, you will manage smaller procurement categories and contribute to larger cross-functional projects that support our global strategy. You will work closely with colleagues and suppliers around the world, gaining hands-on experience in both operational and strategic tasks

Whether you are newly graduated or bring some relevant experience, what matters most is your mindset – a willingness to learn, build strong relationships, and challenge ideas to achieve the best results. The position is based in either Kolding or Nordborg, with around two weekly days in Nordborg for close collaboration with the team and stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Category Specialist, you will have a varied role that combines strategic initiatives with day-to-day procurement activities. You will take responsibility for your own categories while contributing to the wider team’s projects

Your tasks will include

Executing sourcing activities on strategic, tactical, and operational levels Developing and maintaining supplier relationships to secure optimal performance Building strong partnerships with internal stakeholders across all levels Supporting the development and implementation of category strategies Taking on ad hoc tasks and projects with flexibility and a hands-on approach

 

You will gain broad exposure to different parts of the organization and have the opportunity to influence decisions – including in dialogue with senior leadership.

What We're Looking For

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent An outgoing, proactive approach and strong communication skills A structured, logical way of working and problem-solving Flexibility to handle varied tasks in a dynamic environment Interest in category management and procurement Availability to work from Nordborg about two days per week
