This Position reports to:

Global Procurement & Logistics Manager

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Division in San Luis Potosi.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Supports the development and implementation of regional sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional Category leader. Creates local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates and maintains frame contracts.Working in close collaboration with the Electrification business stakeholders on the identification and realization of savings opportunities and translating them into sourcing events.Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions, and creates analytical report based upon spend.Supports regional sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies. Runs benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.Providing guidance to the stakeholders and vendors about the invoicing process and supporting invoicing escalations. Fosters communication internally, externally, and between different Divisions, Business Units and Functions and supports the implementation of PL activities and initiatives in the Region/Country through this clear communicationOn-boards new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and runs regular supplier evaluations and provides supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers.Runs regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold. Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelors Degree - International trade, Business Management, Industrial engineering or Similar6+ years experience in Indirect Procurement and in sourcing projects for Administration and General Services requiredProven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder managementSAP Ariba,Microsoft Excel and PPT. (PowerBI preferred)Advanced level of English.Excellent communication skills and project management skills with an ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver complex strategic initiatives, in a truly global, fluid, interactive environment
