TITLE:  Category Specialist, Indirect Procurement

LOCATION:  Westchester, IL (Hybrid)

REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager, Indirect Procurement

As the Specialist, Indirect Procurement, you will lead day-to-day operations and support the entire Source to Pay cycle of Indirect procurement categories, including Travel, Fleet, Marketing, Professional Services, HR, Real Estate and Temp Labor (Spend Analysis, RFPs, Negotiation, Contracting, and Supplier Relationship management).

As Specialist, Indirect Procurement, your general responsibilities will include:

Support sourcing requirements for spend and market analysis, risk mitigation, and value delivery in the above indirect procurement categoriesSupport evaluation, selection, negotiation, and implementation of preferred partners in indirect procurement categoriesSupport contracting work within Indirect categoriesIdentify and track working capital improvementsAssist in indirect PO processWork closely with our COE teamLead supplier diversity external reporting process and contribute to supplier diversity programContinuously analyze data and apply benchmarks in renegotiating contracts when needed to improve service and/or reduce costsSolicit input from global and regional site sourcing/procurement and regional operations to develop understanding of regional differencesAssist indirect manager with administration of SAP Concur TravelEstablish self as the key point of contact for US/CA day-to-day Fleet operationsDevelop relationships with internal and external stakeholdersServe as main point of contact for all indirect category reporting and data collection requirementsSupport the overall Corporate-North America Procurement strategy and aligning with established global category strategy and sourcing initiatives

The Indirect Specialist position is well-suited for you if you:

Assess the complete market for relevant goods and services including trends, forecasts, risks, geopolitical effects, and supplier profilingBoldly assess the indirect spend portfolio and constantly seek opportunities for cost/demand reduction, innovation/substitution options, and applications of new technologySuccessfully collaborate with multiple internal partners including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Legal, IT and R&DA recognized self-starter with an ability to operate with limited supervisionMobilizes to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances without losing momentumDeep focus on the internal customer experienceHave strong persuasion, influencing, and emotional intelligence capabilitiesAre knowledgeable in the strategic sourcing process, data and market analysis, RFP management, negotiations, contracting, and supplier lifecycle managementHave excellent analytical and financial acumen including cost modeling and budgeting/forecasting and are proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Have experience with e-sourcing tools including spend analytics and project and contract managementHave assisted in the drafting and negotiating of contractsHave strong global professional and cross-cultural skillsHave strong oral and written communication skills, are highly organized, and have excellent problem solving/decision making abilitiesHighly organized, possessing excellent decision-making skills in unsure environmentsStrong project management skills with emphasis on business processesDedicated, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive and sell changeComfortable with ambiguity

Qualified candidates will have:

A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or other related discipline and previous procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in Indirect categoriesExcellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite and Concur Travel platforms a plusKnowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and proceduresExperience in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously with results consistent with management’s expectationsStrong communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate with all levels of a corporationAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyDemonstrated history of successfully collaborating with multiple internal stakeholdersStrong oral and written communications skills, be highly organized and have excellent problem solving/decision making skills

Pay Range:

$81,680.00-$108,906.67 Annual

This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).

Incentive Compensation:

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
