Job Description

This role is part of indirect procurement is accountable and responsible for strategy sourcing and category management for all global marketing across Personal Health and Health Systems, ensure contract compliance, best marketing procurement strategy to drive productivity and TCO, sustainability and innovation. The core objective is to provide the best Indirect Procurement solutions for Philips to create value with sustainable impact.

Your role:

Define and implement Marketing category sourcing and suppliers strategies for the allocated spend (€100M+)Manage key marketing sub-categories of media, Comms, PR, influencer, creative, production, content localization & translation, event, Marketing insights, Sponsorship, digital engagement CRM, SEO etc.  spend for North America regionWork with extended outsourcing 3rd party marketing procurement partner to deliver sourcing projectsEnsure alignment with the organization’s marketing and brand objectives while optimizing cost efficiency & cost savingsDefine and deliver a strong savings funnel approach of Procurement (Price) and Demand (Quantity) initiativesNegotiate contracts for commercials to ensure budget adherence; Partner with legal on contract implementationIdentify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors within marketing categoryBuild strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality deliverables and long-term engagement & partnership.Manage the global key strategic marketing category Suppliers’ Relationships; conduct regular vendor performance reviews based on service quality, cost, and compliance.Contribute to the development of Sourcing Playbooks to guide supplier management


You're the right fit if you have :

Bachelor/Master’s degree in business administration, Economics or equivalent5 - 15 years’ experience in category sourcing for Marketing Services CategorySpecific expertise in Media & PR, Creative agencies mgmt. and Digital.Deep understanding of market offerings and trends with proven functional and thought leadership of the Marketing categoryProven experience Managing spend (€200M+) & key suppliers, with the ability to and lead global or regional projectsPractitioner in designing new sourcing models, and negotiating complex deals (€20M+)Expert level in contract management and disputes / escalation resolution at CxO levelAbility to deliver opportunities / business cases with plans to optimize spend and TCOAbility to develop a 360° supplier strategy, account management plan and roadmap.Proven supplier relationship management skills and ability to lead supplier governanceEntrepreneurial with ability to take independent decisions while de-risking the businessCollaborate with other functions (i.e. legal, security) to ensure contract complianceBe able to work and manage the 3rd party procurement partner to deliver procurement projects and drive savingsStrong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at CxO levelFlexible mindset with strong work ethics and collaboration skills in global teamsUnderstanding of Source-2-Contract and P2P processes, contract managementKnowledge of procurement tools and analytical methodsExcellence negotiation skills


How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
