About the department:
Agilent Procurement in Denmark is part of the Global Procurement organization and in charge of the global category Bioreagent and Medical Device. The category is sourcing materials on behalf of the LDG Division.
The Category is responsible for the strategic sourcing of all raw materials, reagents and packaging materials for the Agilent manufacturing site in Glostrup, Denmark and in Carpinteria, California, USA. Our procurement team includes 16 employees in Denmark and one abroad in Spain. You will be part of a team of 4 Category Managers and 2 procurement engineers. We engage in selection of suppliers, contract negotiation, regulatory approval of suppliers and introduction of new products. We work closely with the Corporate Agilent Procurement function located in the US and Asia and have many stakeholders throughout the global Agilent organization.
The position:
As Category Manager for raw materials and reagents, your primary responsibility will be to source, negotiate and ensure supply of raw materials, chemicals, and reagents. You will work with key stakeholders within, e.g. Manufacturing, R-D, Sales and Marketing, and Quality Assurance as well as working with leading global suppliers in the industry. Your primary stakeholders are based in Glostrup and in Carpinteria.
Our suppliers and stakeholders are located globally. The travel activity in this position is expected to be 10-15 days per year.
You will be responsible for your own supplier base, which you will manage independently. The position reports to the Director of the Strategic Category Bioreagent and Medical Device.

Continuously drive new improvement and savings projectsEnsure assurance of supply of materials within your portfolioSupplier relationship management and in this context select and propose new suppliers to the organizationDrive supplier quality compliance tasks related to the suppliers and the category and ensure that suppliers comply to relevant regulations (FDA/ISOI13485/MDSAP/IVDR)Support and execute corporate global cost savings projectsIdentify local savings opportunities and execute implementationDrafting and negotiating supply contracts for new suppliers as well as existingBuilding relationships with key suppliers and with internal stakeholdersCreate and execute the strategy for your portfolio of products and suppliersMaximizing value and limiting the risk of proposed solutionsQualificationsWe are looking for a colleague who wants be part of our procurement team and actively contribute to our goals with experience, the right attitude, and willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
