Category Leader/Sourcing Manager

Adecco is partnering with a large client in Eden Prairie MN for the 3 month contract opportunity to hire a Category Leader/Sourcing Manager
Shift 1st- 8am -5pm Monday-Friday with Monday and Friday being work from home days
Pay- $45-$55/hr
As a Category Leader – Indirect Global Supply, you will be working closely with your manager and your peers, an experienced team of strategic sourcing professionals located in several parts of the world. The Category Leader will be responsible to maintain the strategic sourcing direction for their categories, refine and execute sourcing strategies in line with enterprise goals, and support processes to procure raw materials, components, and services. The Category Leader will also participate in key initiatives such as annual cost down projects.
You will have the opportunity to work across global departments, building relationships and engagements with key stakeholders
GENERAL RESPONISIBILITIES:
+ Manage and prioritize multiple projects and negotiations simultaneously
+ React and process/understand new information quickly with high numeric & deductive reasoning
+ Ability to accept ambiguity and be driven to find solutions to solve problems
+ Utilize historical spend data from multiple sources, product/service agreements, company budget and other data to proactively identify a pipeline of sourcing opportunities, reducing total cost of ownership and improving vendor performance.
+ Ability to turn data into stories and action items
+ Develop and drive global category strategies taking into account internal requirements and limitations as well as current and future external market conditions for the organization’s global footprint.
+ Actively participate in the development and management of the global supply total cost savings funnel.
+ Capture and maintain Total Cost Models for specific categories, programs and initiatives
+ Understand the different factors and calculations determining the total cost and provide insight into model and improvements.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Excellent PowerPoint and presentation skills
Basic SAP or related ERP experience
Strong Microsoft Excel and analytical skills required
Microsoft Office experience
Must possess high drive and self-initiative to obtain results
Demonstrated success initiating change and ability to influence at all levels
Confidence in role as an individual contributor and ability to lead through others
**Pay Details:** $45.00 to $55.00 per hour
