JOB SUMMARY:
The Insights Manager will be responsible for proactively providing insights to the Sales organization that will help positively impact our business and our potential for growth. This role will act as the Insights lead for the Field Sales organization and be a strategic partner with Account Managers in the Sales Organization. The person in this role must have strong analytical skills to interpret data into insights. This role will proactively identify and share with Account Managers Insights that highlight risks and opportunities for our business at collaborative Customers. Critical thinking is required to help provide recommended actions needed to drive our business. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong strategic partnerships that lead to collaboration on how best to grow our business with Customers. This position will be the key Insights person to develop Customer specific sell decks (leveraging National Sells Materials) across all collaborative Customers for all Categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
· Leverage data and research to identify opportunities for growth across top Customers
· Develop and share recommended actions grounded in Insights that will help drive growth at Top Customers
· Create a Field Sales Strategy laying out how to best Partner with the Field Sales Organization and proactively share insights
· Create tools to identify opportunities and risks across the 4 P’s (Product, Placement, Pricing, and Promotions) and track progress
· Partner with the Sales team to identify key goals and KPI’s for Top Customers
· Lead key Field Sales projects adhering to Project Management protocol for timelines, follow up, and check ins
· Develop sell decks in collaboration with Account Managers for all Top Customers
· Identify gaps in processes and reporting for Field Sales and serve as the lead to fill those gaps
· Act as Consultant to the Field Sales Organization to help improve comfortability with data, adherence to new processes, and hold them accountable to providing our best insights for the Customers
· Proactively interpret insights into recommended actions on Innovation, Promotions, and everyday Customer trends to drive discussions with Sales on how to improve our trends
· Responsible for database maintenance with our syndicated partner ensuring all product groups are accurate and accuracy of full database is maintained throughout the year
· Other duties as assigned
WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
· 3+ years of sales experience in the consumer products industry is required
· Strong understanding and utilization of third-party data resources such as IR and Nielsen
· High level of insight, strategy, financial, and business acumen
SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
· Ability to interpret data into insights
· Ability to develop reporting to be used organization wide
· Ability to dig deep into data to provide the cause of data trends
· Ability to multi-task across several projects and teams in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent Excel and Power Point skills
· Ability to manage projects including meeting deadlines and thorough follow-up
· Ability to influence others by making recommendations grounded in data and insights
· Excellent data visualization skill
· Ability to build a story grounded in Insights
· Self-starter who is a Strategist vs a Tactician
· Leader who can see the big picture and identify solutions to solve problems
· Ability to independently identify areas of focus and priorities
· Clear communication across several levels of Leadership in the organization
· Self-motivated that can work remotely
FORMAL EDUCATION:
· Bachelor’s Degree is required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
· Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.
· The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
· Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
Salary Range:
$115,000-$140,000
