We utilise sophisticated category management skills to advise customers how to maximise their revenue and shopper satisfaction. Our team strives to establish Diageo as the most trusted and respected supplier in our category, recognised for a collaborative “win win” approach and outstanding understanding of category, customer and shopper behaviour. This role plays a leading role in developing sharp, actionable insights and forward thinking, to drive growth through category, customer and Diageo portfolio. The role will partner internally with the Consumer & Shopper Planners, Brand Teams, Customer Marketing and Commercial teams, and externally with retailers, ensuring that the teams and customers are fully equipped with comprehensive landscape understanding. You will provide data and define powerful insights, that support development of Diageo strategy, inspire big marketing ideas, as well as winning category plans with commercial teams. This role has a high degree of technical complexity in terms of data knowledge and understanding, with varying data sources and coverage. **Key Responsibilities** + Leads the Category Growth strategy and partners with KAMs to develop and deliver business plans tailored to customer objectives + Understands the principles of category management such as portfolio range, space and navigation and prioritises and implements these with customers to unlock mutual growth. + With KAMs, leads complex holistic business conversations with customers working in partnership with them to drive medium-long term category growth and deliver quality Diageo market share. + Keep abreast of internal category growth and share performance presented monthly to Management team, providing meaningful analysis of Diageo and key competitor strengths and weaknesses. + Support commercial and marketing teams in understanding holistically the market dynamics from panel based sell-out to shopper data. + Own internal reporting at handle PBI / excel based data tools accuracy + Partner closely with Commercial, Finance, Marketing and Consumer Planning to build forecasting and category/shopper insights feeding into Business Plans. + Lead the sell-out and shopper data and nurture the relationship with agency partners, prioritizing their workload and continually reviewing performance. Handle local budgets and tender offers. + Drive the market data systems capability agenda with on Nielsen Discover/other data tools, ensuring commercial and brand teams are proficient using the platforms and data sets relevant to them. **About you** + 5+ years of analytical roles using a variety of data sources (external and internal), to create actionable insight for internal business planning and external projects with customers + Strong numerical skills; application of Nielsen Discove RMS and Homescan panel; PowerBI and Excel + Job experience in FMCG, category management and/or quant. panel research is of advantage + Passionate about customer and consumer understanding and applying knowledge to drive business growth + Existing capability to build genuine relationships internally and externally, based on mutual trust & respect + Successful management of senior partners, resulting in strong and positive outcomes + Holistic skills across various marketing and sales growth drivers as well as a track record of delivering groundbreaking business results + Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and complexity + Proven brilliant execution to high standards + German and English fluent **Our Offer** + An inclusive company culture that puts employees and their development first + A competitive salary with bonus and many benefits that suit your lifestyle + 30 days of holidays + An industry leading parental leave policy + …and of course, THE best colleagues!
