Join us to create a career worth celebrating! **Job Summary:** The Category Development & Chain Analytics Manager will lead efforts to unlock growth across the Beer and Premix segments by delivering actionable category insights, advanced analytics, and strategic selling support in partnership with the Chain Accounts team. Success in this role requires the ability to lead multiple partners, prioritize projects, and deliver high-impact work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings a strategic, data-driven mentality, is skilled in using multiple data sources to craft compelling stories and has expertise in shelf and display optimization to elevate retailer performance and improve Diageo Beer & Pre-Mix’s in-market performance. **Role Responsibilities:** **Strategic Leadership** + Act as a strategic thought partner, operating in lockstep with DBC’s Chain Accounts team to transform complex or open-ended business questions into actionable strategies that fuel category growth and deliver on Diageo’s Performance Ambition. + Partner cross-functionally to align partners around strategic priorities, leveraging data-driven storytelling, operational efficiency, and a strong customer-first mentality. **Category Development & Strategic Storytelling** + Translate complex data sets into insights-driven recommendations to optimize category and DBC assortment, product placement, display execution, feature support, and shelf space allocation across key set of chain customers. + Leverage a range of data sources — including syndicated scan data (NielsenIQ, Circana), shopper panel and loyalty card data, Spectra, and internal commercial data — to evaluate category and DBC performance and uncover growth opportunities. + Demonstrate expert communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver insights, tell compelling data-driven stories, and influence decision-making with key chain customer buyers and internal partners. + Build trusted partnerships with key retail accounts to position DBC as a best-in-class provider of category insights that drive mutual growth. **Chain Performance Analytics** + Serve as an analytical expert by leading the measurement and evaluation (M&E) of chain programming to assess effectiveness, uncover performance drivers, and inform future strategy. + Hold internal teams and distributor partners accountable for key chain program execution through meticulous tracking and clear communication, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and performance standards. + Develop and refine analytical tools and scorecards using Power BI and Excel to improve visibility, enhance efficiency, and drive measurable business impact across chain customers. + Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate performance analytics into strategic planning and commercial decision-making processes. **Category Trends & Foresight** + Continuously monitor and analyze the latest category trends, market innovations, and consumer behaviors to ensure Diageo Beer Co. remains at the forefront of the industry. + Apply foresight and thought leadership to identify emerging opportunities with customers and consumers, proactively shaping category strategies that capitalize on evolving market dynamics. + Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate trend insights into commercial initiatives, driving sustained growth and competitive advantage. + Drive consistent value creation by understanding consumer needs and leveraging brand equity. **Sustainability & Diversity Commitment** + Promote practices that align with Diageo’s commitment to diversity, sustainability, and positive drinking. **Experience / skills required:** + Minimum 5 years of proven experience in data analytics, category development, insights, or related roles within the FMCG industry. + Expert at prioritizing and managing multiple high-impact projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment; regularly required to balance shifting timelines, anticipate partner needs, and strategic objectives. + Expert in syndicated and shopper data tools (NielsenIQ, Circana, shopper panel, loyalty data) and highly proficient in Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint for developing impactful, insight-driven reporting. + Strong analytical thinker and problem-solver with proven ability to analyze complex data, make data-driven decisions, and translate insights into compelling stories. + Demonstrated strategic thinking with a track record of delivering innovative, performance-enhancing solutions. + Exceptional communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging and influencing partners at all levels, including key retail customers. + Experience with shelf space optimization techniques (e.g., planogramming, space planning tools) is a plus. **Flexible Working Statement:** Flexibility is key to our success.
